I’m coming off a little bit of a high right now! There’s nothing like being loved on by your entire social circle to make you feel incredible. Most importantly, to make you feel crazy loved. If somehow you missed it, we’re pregnant! And yesterday we experienced a flood of text messages and comments and encouragement that just made us so much more excited! I was a little hesitant to let this news out in the open because it feels so personal, and it is!, but I could not for see how loved we would feel! And how awesome it would be to share the news with people we love! Thanks for being a part of our world friends :]

We felt like we couldn’t wait another day to share, so here we are again on a Tuesday, doing depth of feels. This last week has been David and I slowly chiseling away at a absolutely giant to do list I made. Of course, not everything got done, because it was an impossible list. But I have no doubt we can get everything done before school starts up on Monday! Thankfully one of the things we did do well was clean the house. There is nothing like a clean and organized house to make you feel like a star. For real, we deep cleaned/organized the office and 4 months of clutter has now been cleaned up! It feels good to be an adult sometimes.

We started up Cru staff again this week, so my email responses will be a bit slower and I’m learning again what it looks like to not have a full week in the office. There is nothing like being with our staff team though! We spent yesterday talking vision and catching up on each other’s lives before the craziness of the beginning of the year starts and it was so refreshing! And it’s pretty fun to have Cru tasks back on my to-do list again and students flooding back into our little town :]

Now for some feels…hopefully not too pregnancy themed :]

• We spent so much time in the office last week that I started to go a little stir crazy…and that included singing Les Mis aka Jean Val Jean’s parts loudly in David’s ear.
• The hardest part of being pregnant has certainly been giving up Coke Zero. If you’ve seen me drinking water or sparkling ice aka my new fizzy drink the last couple months…now you know why. Because the baby is the only reason I’d give up Coke.
• I legitimately don’t know what I’m going to do when David goes back to school on Monday. Yes, because I’ll miss him. But mostly because he’s been keeping me alive all summer. He’s the only reason I remember to eat, annnnd that has been more important than ever lately.
• Is anyone willing to come make omelets and buffalo chicken panini’s and salads for me every day?
• The best part of sharing our news with the world is being able to be honest when people ask “How’s your summer been?” Oh you know…same old, same old. :]
