This is the best kind of Monday because it is CHILLY outside. Well not so much now that it’s the afternoon. But I cannot tell you the excitement I feel for sweater weather and leggings and coziness. I asked David if I had a favorite season yesterday…and we couldn’t figure it out, I love them all! But I will never ever get tired of cold weather, I just love it.
I love it so much that we kept the windows open all yesterday, to the point that it got a little too chilly in the house :] Who cares if it’s supposed to be 80 again tomorrow, IT’S FALL PEOPLE! This week was back to the normal swing of things: meeting with students, office hours for half days, and actual time to spend with friends. Yeah that’s the real miraculous thing going on here….TIME. I’m feeling pretty balanced right now and I just love that. I’m always soaking up every bit of normality until February…because I know it’s going to all go out the window at that point :]
David and I spent a pretty quiet weekend, our last one until late November I think! Which doesn’t cause me to feel quite as bad about watching Jimmy Fallon videos for most of the evening on Friday and reading Harry Potter endlessly. Savoring while I can :] In between the relaxing, we spent time with friends and spent lots of time with each other. It was just good. The kind of weekend that makes Monday kind of bleh.
Now for feels:
- Speaking of Jimmy Fallon…if you haven’t seen this interview with Nicole Kidman…you really need to. I was almost in tears I was laughing so hard! I don’t want to spoil it, but it is hilariously awkward!
- My husband is a very good singer…but somehow he is terrible at humming. He hums all the time and I NEVER know what song he is singing…even though he thinks it’s obvious.
- I think that cats are making a comeback. For so long, they were hated on…but more and more I’m seeing cats get some love. From friends adopting little kittens to social media…they’re everywhere!
- Kittens are the only acceptable cats.
- If you’re looking for a delicious cold weather soup…look no further.
- This morning started with my boss, Jake, giving our whole staff team gifts…wrapped in paper bags. It was perfect and definitely made Monday a little sweeter.
- I’m going to be honest, this weather makes me think of Harry Potter about 50% of the time. It’s all “Hedwig’s Theme” in my brain right now. Raise your hand if you agree!
I promise to have a pretty, romantic preview next week, since this was our last week for awhile without a scheduled shoot. But come on, Neville with his birthday ice cream smeared on his beard is pretty dang cute right?
