It’s Monday AGAIN! It seems like this Monday came so quickly after a depth of feels on Thursday :] But it’s nice to be back to our regularly scheduled programming. Speaking of, I’ve got some good stuff programmed for this week and the ones coming up. Our Fall wedding season started(!!!), along with lots of engagements and anniversary sessions being scheduled, so the blog is going to be filled with all types of romantic pretty again! I love filling you guys in on my life, but I’m excited to break up those personal posts with some wedding goodness again!
And you know that special announcement I mentioned last week? Well the hurricane happened and I ended up going on an umbrella hunt instead of announcing the announcement so that email is going out TODAY friends :] Past and current wedding clients…get excited!
This week was a good one. Lots of resting, followed by YAY wedding season starting again. Yes, it was just crazy to shoot during hurricane weather, but two things really helped: A sweet bride and groom who could care less about the weather because they were getting MARRIED, and knowing that so many of my vendor friends were battling the exact same circumstances. We’re in this together and it really felt like having coworkers as I scrolled through instagram on our drive home, seeing the epic shots that photogs all over the coast captured…in spite of less than ideal weather. Here’s to community!
Now for a lot of feels:
- I can’t even talk about how much I love my new macbook pro. Seriously. I culled the entire wedding on our two hour drive home on Saturday and it made me SO thankful to start today one step ahead! Normally that two or so hours would be a productivity loss, but instead, I worked right through it! (thanks to david driving!)
- Most of the time, it’s pretty easy to forget that I’m pregnant. But by the time the reception ended on Saturday…there was no ignoring it. Sore shoulders and the immediate need to go to chipotle won out right after the lavender exit!
- Let’s all do a cheer because it’s finally HOT CHOCOLATE season! YAY! For some reason it just never feels right during the summer, but it’s cuddle and cocoa weather and I love it!
- Now that David is working on campus again all day…we email back and forth during the day about business things. It makes me feel really official :]
- Shooting in a church that the bride’s parents got married at? So, so special and such an honor. Legacy venue!
- Also, it’s leaf crunching season. Praise the Lord.
- If you’re an avid depth of feels reader, you know that David and I went through a stint where we were OBSESSED with Uptown Funk….well David’s new guilty please is The Whip. He turns it on full blast every time it comes on the radio.
- Does anyone listen to Delilah on the radio? I just can’t even with her. She’s my guilty pleasure because her advice is often so hilariously bad and the songs she picks are so out of left field that I can’t help but laugh. Please tell me I’m not alone!
