Today is a slightly wompy depth of feels to share. But only because I was supposed to have TWO amazing sessions this past week, and the rain and circumstance came in and womp-ed all over them :[ Of course, that means that these sessions will take place at an even better time, which is very exciting! But anyways, I’m a little bummed not to have brand new pretty for you guys. But, I think you’ll forgive me after you see tomorrow’s rainy day wedding post :]
This last week has been JAMpacked. The kind of packed that makes it a little hard to catch your breath. I had meetings on meetings with students, a BFF birthday celebration, out of town visits from friends, and just lots of commitments. All good ones, but this lady is feeling the Mondays big time today. And this week coming up is going to be incredibly FULL! Between a full to do list Monday, the Rising Tide meeting at my house this week (eek, I need to clean!), an e-session, and speaking at Cru this week, I’m just hanging in there. It’s exhausting in a really beautiful way.
So it feels as if it’s time for the feels, because my to do list is calling me :]
- Neville puppy rested his head on my belly all day yesterday…I think he might know…
- When you send someone a nice note with a gift card saying that they should get “coffee on you,” you should probably make sure to include said gift card. Oops. That’s my super baby brain fueled mistake of the week!
- The very few moments of free time I had last week went directly to listening to the talks from the Pursuit conference. Ugh SO so good and soul refreshing. If you get a chance, you should watch the rebroadcast!
- We’ve gotten so many adorable baby gifts in the last couple weeks. But my favorite has got to the the Harry Potter themed bib and onesie that our house guests gifted us. Just the best, and if there’s more out there like them, my etsy bill is going to sky rocket. :]
- As you may have seen on Instagram last night, I needed a bloomin’ onion last night and my friend Megan immediately delivered! Free bloomin’ onion for the win!
- David and my sister graciously made a Barnes and Noble run for me and I’m having a hard time not letting these books steal my laser-focus. They will be my reward after a long, long week and I could not be more excited to read Mindy Kahling and Rainbow Rowell’s latest writings :]
Just in case you missed it, I’m speaking at the Cru weekly meeting this week! I’m so pumped and super nervous! It’s in the format of a 20ish minute talk and in front of 130 or so college students! Eek! And I’ve never spoken at Cru before. So needless to say, I’d love to have some friendly faces there :] If you’re in the NRV on Thursday at 8pm, feel free to come check out Cru, even if you’ve never been before!
