old town fairfax hall wedding // mike & adrianne

Mike and Adrianne are clearly made to be together. The morning started with bustling around in the salon, and then at the church, the anxious waiting almost too much for Adrianne to handle. Because all she wanted was to see her best friend. It wasn’t until they chatted, minutes before the ceremony, on either side of a door, that a calm and peace came over her. Mike on one side, smiling widely, and Adrianne on the other, small tears running down her face.

There was a quiet confidence about the two of them as Mike beamed at his bride when she walked down the aisle. They exchanged their own vows, their self proclaimed “greatest hits playlist,” equal parts funny and sweet. Adrianne spoke of the wonderful, funny man that she was marrying and Mike spoke about what a perfect woman he had found in her. They giggled as they placed rings on each other’s fingers and walked back down the aisle in bliss. Because finally, finally, they were married.

The night moved on quickly. The bridal party cheered for their dear friends. Mike and Adrianne clung to each other all evening long. The maid of honor recalled two important phone calls from Adrianne. One of giddy excitement and confusion, gushing about Mike, and the next, sure and confident, shortly after she’d told Mike that she loved him. That was the kind of energy that hung in the air all night long. And they drove off into the night, with their guests applauding loudly, boldly in the direction of forever.

Mr and Mrs Barlow, this was one of my favorite days! You two are MADE for each other and we are so thankful to have been there to see your commitment.
