Friends, I’ve been sitting on this blog post for quite some time now. Because we’ve known our baby’s name since we announced his gender :] But for some reason it didn’t feel really final until recently! So instead of making you wade through my text. The next image holds his name!

That’s him :] Oliver! We have LOVED this name for a long time and it was one of our two choices for a boy when we found out we were pregnant. To be honest, we were much more focused on our girl names and Oliver was kind of always hanging around in the back of our minds :] We haven’t played around with any other name since we found out the gender and we were just being indecisive about making it final. But ever since baby boy started kicking me constantly, it felt like we needed to know who was kicking me. We LOVE being able to call him his name and he already has about a million nicknames. Ollie. Ollie bear. The list goes on. My favorite might be that my friend Holly keeps saying “Ollie and Holly” whenever she has a chance.

Sidenote: my blog has NOT been filled with pregnancy updates! (even though that’d be SO easy) Aren’t you proud of me? So I thought I’d take this opportunity to give a little update! I’m 25 weeks at this point, so way over halfway there! That’s just so crazy to me! We’ve still been SO lucky that I’ve had an easy pregnancy. Besides being super tried and hungry pretty much all the time, life has continued as normal. I mean I actually look like a pregnant person now, so that’s certainly a change! Thankfully, all of my fall/winter clothes are pretty much giant sweaters, so maternity tops haven’t been too needed :] But I’ve been loving some maternity pants & leggings, big time! Also sometimes I feel like Neville might know. He rests his little head on my belly sometimes and has been a little more cuddly than normal :] So that’s a welcome change, too!

The fact that Oliver’s coming just keeps getting more real! Whether it’s the solid baby bump, the fact that we keep getting the most adorable baby gifts, or that we’re making plans for when he gets here…it just really feels like reality now! We’re looking forward to finishing out the last two weddings of the season strong and getting everything in line for Ollie’s big arrival. Our calendar is pretty much full until beginning of January, so we’re just powering through and taking the time to rest when we have it! Overall, we’re thankful for this season and both hoping that time speeds up (for David’s sake in school) and that it slows down so we can cherish this time before Oliver gets here.

Bonus: Oliver is a Harry Potter name. Think about it real hard and maybe you’ll get there :]

Neville has started standing on my belly when I pick him up. And it’s the cutest thing ever.

We realized recently that we’ve taken NO personal pictures this whole pregnancy! So we’re going to try and be a little better about that :]
