It is a late Tuesday afternoon depth of feels…which can only mean, we must’ve had a crazy weekend! And that is a FACT! It was another busy one. We aren’t people who love being described as “busy,” but it’s just our reality lately. We’re running from one good thing to the next to the next and there just isn’t much time to slow down. But that’s another reason we’re thankful to be going on vacation…in a week and a half 😀 It’s going to be so good. All the sleeping in and the book reading and the relaxing are headed our way. And we’re going to soak it in.
This weekend meant heading up to Northern Virginia again for our second to last wedding of the year! Only one more! I can’t believe that it went by so quickly. Brittany and Lawrence’s day was a special type of amazing and I can’t wait for you all to see it! It was a long one with lots of heartfelt touches and good dance parties :] And all that excitement had this pregnant lady feeling the “wedding hangover” aches like crazy on Sunday. So we spent the day seeing family and friends that are like family and trying to rest up. Monday was my FOURTH A Practical Wedding Workshop with Abby Grace Photography!! I can’t believe I’ve gotten to be a part of that many with her! It was a very beautiful and successful day. The attendees were wonderful and we all had fun doing a styled shoot in the rain :] And it’s always good to get to spend time with Abby :] Not to mention I already knew 3 of the attendees!! So that just made things extra fun.
All in all, it was a long and fun weekend, and the fact that we just got back to Radford a half hour ago has me feeling pretty exhausted. Sooo it’s time to try and squeeze in a nap before Tuesdays Together tonight :]
Feels first, of course:
- I feel like I can’t be the only one…but I really hate Walmart. The inefficiency, the un-helpfulness (not that that’s a word), and the general Walmart-ness of it all just make me never want to venture inside. And waiting in line for David’s contacts on a Friday afternoon, with no staff in sight, increased my feeling all the more.
- And ironically, that is the same day that I became one of the “people of Walmart” people. I was so dang hungry that I brought a full hamburger to eat while I walked around Walmart and waited. I guess that’s what I get :]
- I’ve finally seen something in person that should’ve been on Youtube. Saturday’s wedding had just the BEST father daughter dance. The always emotional Butterfly Kisses led right into Uptown Funk, The Whip, I’m Sexy and I Know It…and so much more. It was amazing!
- Baby presents are starting to make me cry (dramatic face emoji)!!! They’re always so unexpected and sweet and I can’t handle it!
- The Rocket Summer has been one of my favorite bands since I was 15 years old. That’s a decade of love. There’s been style change/genre evolution/5 albums and he just continues to get better. And now, as he’s about to release his next albums…I’m the kind of fan who’s NERVOUS for him. Like I’m his mom or something. So odd.
- Binge watching the Office during the busy editing season adds random, chaotic laughter to my life. I probably sound like a crazy person…to my dogs.
