I’m baaaaaaaack 😀 Ahhh friends. I cannot tell you how much life was brought to my soul by this last week of hiatus! It was like a breath of fresh air. Besides the car ride to and from Florida for our #babymoon, I did not touch my laptop for work reasons and it was phenomenal. I cannot even say the last time I went without working for that long. But the best part of coming back was knowing that I don’t dread going back to work on a Monday because I truly love my jobs. Yes, the week long blog/editing break was amazing, but I’m glad to be back and sharing with you, friends.

There’s SO much to say from this last week. I’m going to keep it short though and save most of it for my babymoon recap next week :] I hope you’ll forgive me! We had SUCH a blast staying in Daytona and visiting Harry Potter World at Universal in Orlando. It was simply the best. On the 4 days we weren’t at the park, we did whatever we wanted with total freedom. And for us, that always means a lot of sleeping, relaxing, reading, and yes, watching cable TV. Which we don’t have at home. And it was the best. The two days at the park pretending to be wizards was nothing short of perfection and I have nothing but good things to say. And I’m going to save it all for my very, very full of iPhone snaps recap :]

Yesterday, we intended on hiding from the world for just one more day before going back into full responsibility mode…but it turns out putting together ikea furniture is not quite as easy as you’d believe. It takes a village :] 4 helpers and 6 hours later, we’ve got a crib and dresser set up in the tiny nursery! It’s getting real!

Now for feels:

• It’s actually really, really good that we don’t have cable. We spent almost our first whole day of vacation in a television and nap coma. Who knows what type of self control we wouldn’t exhibit if we had cable all the time!
• Yesterday, David was musing on how he forgets our baby is going to look like him. His exact words: “Like I know that Kaitlyn’s pregnant, because I see her everyday. But I forget that the baby is mine too.” Oy.
• We finally finished Serial! And the ending was so ambiguous and we knew it would be. I keep forgetting that it’s a real story and we’ll most likely NEVER know the truth. And it drives me a little crazy. Afterwards we started listening to Dear Hank and John for a more light hearted affair. Vlogbrothers fans, I highly recommend!
• Neville is bumming hardcore lately. He understands that something is changing in the house, because we keep moving stuff around, and it just causes him to mope and be extra cuddly. I don’t mind :]
• This is engagement season/booking season and it’s EXCITING! Every new bridal inquiry makes me SO thrilled for the clients we’ll get to love on in 2016 and the friends we’ll walk away with! I’m such an introvert, but I really love meeting people and getting to know what makes them “them,” especially as a couple!
