Guess what? I love blogging, and I love sharing my clients’ wedding days and their relationship in story form…SO much that it’s a huge part of my brand. But that’s not news to you :] What might be, is the fact that I’d be heartbroken if that was the only way my clients could ever share their story.
Because your story was never meant to live online. It was never meant to live in a PASS gallery for years to come. Social media is a huge part of our lives, a simple reality, so it’s hard to imagine that you should ever share your wedding images any place other than Facebook…or instagram. But you should. When we have guests over at our home and they want to know about our wedding, I don’t scroll through my phone or pull up my photographer’s blog post (even though it was lovely!). I bring out our wedding album. And I let the album tell our wedding story and I fall in love with the images and the day all over again.
Imagine five or ten years in the future, or even 50 years in the future…when your grandkids want to see where it all began, you aren’t going to pull up the PASS app on your phone, or your old Facebook album. One, because it’ll be impractical. Technology changes constantly and you aren’t guaranteed consistency! Two, because online is not where real connection happens. Wouldn’t it mean so much more to pull out your wedding album and flip through the pages, telling the story of your love all the while?!
For these reasons and SO many more, I’m thrilled that we’re now offering legacy albums to our clients. We truly believe in them! Not as a way to turn a profit, but because we believe they’re important. So much so that we made sure to seek out a photographer who offered them when we got married! Yes, there’s an added price, but I don’t regret it for one minute. One, because we’ve had a beautiful way to share our story for 3 years now! And two, because even with the best intentions, I never would’ve made one myself. We would still be album-less had I not prioritized an album during wedding planning. And why wouldn’t I want to entrust that to people who specialize in it?
That’s why we’re using trusted vendors, like Align Album Design and KISS books to make our albums happen. They’re beautiful, with lay-flat pages, and linen covers. The perfect way to ensure that your favorite images come off the internet, and into tangible storybook form. I just received my first sample album back and I was over the moon excited with the results!
Take a look at the sample if you want an idea of what your album could look like and read on for a special offer at the end of the post!
I love the engraving on the front cover, the one thing I wish our album had!
