Oh friends, it is Monday. The “there’s less than two weeks until Christmas and I haven’t done any shopping Monday.” Literally none. No Christmas shopping. Friends, am I sunk? It feels like it :] Especially since we do about 6 Christmases every year and they start on Wednesday! Eek!

Besides the holiday panic, this week has been a good one. Yes, David’s powering through the end of the semester, so I’ve been spending a lot of time just resting and wishing he’d be done with all of his papers. But, there’s no complaining in that, friends! Resting isn’t something I’m used to and being 7 months pregnant has finally caught up with me. I’m soaking in the afternoon naps and reading on the couch in the evening right now. And of course, starting to craft and organize for Ollie’s arrival. It’s coming so soon! EEK!

This week is our prep week. We’re wrapping up Cru staff for the year and we’re preparing to leave our little home for THREE weeks. We do this every year and it never feels less crazy. We hit all of our family around Virginia, tote our dogs the whole way, and usually have to bring my full desktop. All I can say is this…praise God for the Macbook Pro.

Feels time:

• Instagram Husband is the funniest thing I’ve seen on the internet as of late. It’s gone viral since I saw it last week, and I’ve been counting down to share it on the blog!
• I’m so unbelievably excited for the Radford Coffee Company to open. We’ve got NO good coffee shops in Radford and when they do open, they’re short lived. RIP Main Street Cafe. So I’m ALL about these friends from our church community opening up a non profit coffee shop on West End. They aren’t officially open yet. But I’ll vouch for them, the breakfast sandwiches are crazy good.
• It has been quite awhile since we’ve done a sunrise session. And it was SO worth it. Waking up before the sun is easier to do this time of year, but it still feels strange. For some reason, I’m always afraid the sun won’t come up. But low and behold, it always does. In all it’s hazy, pink and purple glory.
• David and I have created our own version of burrito bowls from Chipotle. No, they’ll never be quite as good. But they’re a close second.
• Today, our staff team learned about Snapchat. And it was amazing and hilarious.

Excited to share this engagement session soon! Emma and Ryan are so sweet and we can’t wait for their June wedding!
