It’s the last Monday before Christmas! Only two more Mondays in the year! It all has just gone by too fast. The more that I’ve looked back over this year year, the more I’ve realized JUST how much has happened and JUST how quickly it all happened. We worked and traveled so much and spent a lot of time with people we love and a LOT of time in the car :] The next two weeks of the year are certainly going to be spent looking back on all the craziness and the goodness. And I’ll be sharing some of that here on the blog :] Especially after my absence the last week!

This last week has been full! I told you all last Monday that we hadn’t even attempted to start Christmas shopping, and now we’ve already celebrated TWO Christmases, had a staff Christmas party, and a baby shower! Oh my goodness! It’s kinda of just how our holiday seasons roll. We have a pretty jam packed schedule most of the time, so we take our time off very seriously…and somehow we end up jamming in as much as we can. So we’ve been in Norfolk since Saturday and finished up the semester last week. It’s been a crazy good breath of fresh air for David because he’s not in school! It took awhile for it to sink in, but he’s in full break mode. Lots of snacking and sleeping in :]

I’m going to keep it short today because I’m trying to fit as much work in as I can today so that we can soak in time with family and friends! But there’s some exciting stuff coming to the blog this week! Feels below:

• In the last few weeks, I keep hearing that everyone’s favorite part of the blog is David. And he’s the instagram favorite as well. David is not big or consistent with social media, but for some reason, people love his weirdness. There’s a specific group of guys who only tune in when they know he’s going to be on the blog! So guys, the above image is for you :]
• I’m not normally one to go on and on about the weather…because I think that’s boring…but even I can’t deny this craziness in Virginia right now! Earlier this week, it was 70 DEGREES! So much for being super pregnant during the the winter! But thankfully the temp dropped down to the chilly winter weather I loved just in time for David and I’s Christmas on Friday. It even flurried 😀
• The holidays are not a good time to be in the grocery store. Tensions run high. So high that this last Thanksgiving, we witnessed a woman push a cart out of her way in her haste…and it hit another woman…who started yelling at her. One of the most awkward moments ever.
• If you haven’t seen the trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. You’re missing out. There’s been so much GOOD Harry Potter news. Including the casting of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child and it’s making me feel all warm and fuzzy and excited.
• In other news, I finished the 7th Harry Potter book for the millionth time and it never fails to amaze me. JK Rowling really knew what she was doing.

We shot our Christmas cards this week and it was so freezing out! And so fun. It’s our tradition to meet up with our friend Krysta and make them happen real quick. And I’m loving sending them out :]
