Happy Monday! It’s especially happy over here because we completed out first weekend trip post Ollie! We’re so used to be out of town for business adventures and these last four months at home have been refreshing. (and exhausting, thanks Ollie ;)) When I went back and thought about it, I realized that this was actually the longest we’ve ever stayed in Radford since we were married! WHAT! Either way, we were about due for a trip out of town and were happy to be packing up the car on Friday :]

And thankfully, it was a great success! Oliver did amazing in the car, I got some work done on the way there and back, and we had TWO engagement shoots. And we even got to spend some time with family in the in betweens :] It was wonderful! All these engagement sessions (5 in the last month!) are getting me so excited for wedding season. Our couples are the literal sweetest and we spend our time together laughing and I’m just so thankful their wedding days are coming up so quickly. It’s going to be a blast!

Example number one: Max & Catherine! My face hurt from smiling so much after spending Friday evening with them!

We learned a ton about traveling with a baby. Including the fact that Ollie comes with a LOT of luggage. His clothes are small but his gear is not. He’s a high maintenance little guy with all of his seats and blankets. It was definitely worth it though. Especially getting to see my grandma, who is now a great grandma, snuggle Ollie and make him laugh. It was a sweet time.

Example number two of awesome couples: Jonathan and Kerry! Time passed so quickly with these two on Saturday!

Now for some Monday feels:

• In case you’re blissfully unaware (aka not a small business owner), today is tax day. Ugh. We finally got our taxes done on Saturday. There are so many benefits to being a small business owner and taxes is definitely not one of them. Thankfully, the pros outweigh the cons!
• Oliver wore one of his Harry Potter onesies for the first time this week and I may or may not have taken a few pictures with him in some HP glasses…
• David was happily snapping behind the scenes pictures with my phone on Saturday during an esession, and promptly dropped it while dog wrangling and bag wrangling. And the screen cracked. Boo.
• I basically responded as if he had done this purposely as revenge for me always eating the last of the ice cream.
• Baby socks never stay on. If you thought regular socks got lost and mismatched by some mysterious sock monster then just know…baby socks are a million times worse. As I type Ollie is furiously trying to kick his off.
• Ollie had his first experience baby modeling this last week. The university library held a contest on the theme “Libraries transform” so I threw an idea together and David snapping a picture. And we won. This was both hilarious and awesome and makes me think that Ollie’s got a career ahead of him 😉
