It’s the last week of school and everything is magical. The sun is shining. The puppies are out of their houses. And David has one more night class. Ever. Because I’ll never let him go to school again. (only kind of kidding)

But seriously. I love this week. The sun coming out and the not too hot weather reminds me that summer is right around the corner. And the seniors finishing up gives me all the feels. It always makes me think of my last week of college and what an exciting and bittersweet time it is. This year is especially bittersweet because we have SO many seniors graduating. Ministry’s tough. There’s so much transition every year. So much trusting God to finish what He has started in these lives. But it’s good to send them out and celebrate all that has changed in their four years at Radford. There’s going to be a lot of tears these next two weeks. But a lot of joy too.

This last weekend was jam packed! I went to both a baby and a bridal shower. And I photographed Ash Bush’s calligraphy workshop on Sunday. As well as attended a member’s meeting at church. And spent a lot of time in the hospital with my sister. (don’t worry, she’s fine, we laughed the entire time) All of this made for the most consecutive time away from Ollie. Which was both refreshing, and made me want all the snuggles when I got home. Now for some feels:

• Showers are so fun. Like baby/bridal showers. But actual ones are nice now too. #momlife
• I digress…I love attending showers because I’m consistently thankful for the generosity at such new seasons in our own lives. I’m always using something that someone has given us to care for Ollie and it means the world to me!
• Something you never knew you needed? A way to transport ice cream. A hospital stay for my sister this weekend meant I was stuffing ice cream into a thermos at midnight and praying it stayed cold. Praise. It did.
• I left you guys hanging last week. I know I did. You all expected a perfectly non graphic story of Ollie’s birth, you were waiting with bated breath. And then I didn’t deliver. Don’t worry, friends. I wasn’t in the right headspace last week to make it happen. But it will happen this week.
• Apparently I was in the right headspace at 10PM yesterday evening. Because I wrote almost a whole essay on my phone about it.
• Ashley’s workshop was the cutest. Not only do I want to take up calligraphy, but I’m craving some macarons. She had the cutest little set up. And there were even unicorn cookies. Enough said.
• David and I had grand plans of playing a board game on Saturday night. And Ollie decided to cry instead. This is sad because 1. we didn’t get to play our game. And 2. because our grand plans were board games.
