Today’s a really good Monday. Because today Monday means we’re on staff retreat with Cru and it means that David’s done with grad school! See below :]

David was a huge dork the entire ceremony and threw up double peace signs, took a selfie on stage, and redid his high school senior picture. Basically, it was a good time. But more on that later this week. What you need to know for now is that Ollie was a gem and slept through most of it. And that he’s done and we’re excited about that! Annnnnd that we’ve got a summer of hanging out with Oliver and loving on couples ahead of us :]

Last week I also got to take senior pictures for two of the college women I meet with every week! It was so fun! I always love doing the occasional portrait session, especially because it’s not my norm, but it’s even more fun when you’ve got women cheering each other on. We laughed the whole time and Aya played music from the Lizzie McGuire movie on her phone. Recipe for success.

Also Mother’s Day just happened! My very first one. It made me realize just how thankful I am for my mom, and how much I am loving being a mom. I did not see that one coming, but I love taking care of little Olliebear. And David and him spoiled me with some cute gifts and chipotle :]

This week was graduation for all of the college seniors too! My friend Krysta and I ran around campus and tried to see as many of them as possible. So fun. And there’s something really exciting about seeing our campus all full of friends and family and no-longer-students in black robes. And of course, bagpipes. Because it’s Radford. And that’s a crucial part of every commencement ceremony.

Now for some feeeeeeeels.

• Running around campus legitimately wore me out. I realized just how out of shape I am after pregnancy/just being me. But when your girl tells you she’s walking in 15 minutes and you’re on the other side of campus…you book it.
• Things a sentimental new mom may say: “I don’t need to save the bandaids from his first shots, right?!” (I won’t point any fingers about who it was :])
• But just in case it was me then David would most certainly respond, “No….you don’t.”
• Also she may start to cry as she packs away newborn clothes. Because why is he so big?
• When you graduate college it’s very necessary to throw some glitter. See example above.
• I was so shocked at all of the response to Ollie’s birth story. You guys are simply the best! Just in case you missed it, here’s the link.
