It feels like a long, long time since I shared my first real big girl camera picture of Ollie.
And it’s been a whirlwind ever since. We’re obsessive first time parents. Everything Oliver does is magical. He started laughing, and it’s my new favorite sound. He held his bottle up (totally on accident) today, and we proclaimed that he was a genius. Every single smile is treasured. Along with every little leg roll :] It’s crazy to think it’s been 14 weeks. Over three months!
I won’t get all sappy here. I think I tend to do that enough on instagram. But I will say I’m surprised at just how much my iPhone is in my hands instead of my actual camera. It’s hard to remember to lug out the big 5dmkiii when my phone is always so readily available for the Ollie smiles. Thankfully, I’ve done a pretty good job at taking photos at least every other week. And thanks to Amanda Hedgepeth, we had the idea of doing monthly pictures with two articles of David’s wardrobe to show his growth. So you’ll see the denim and fedora project sprinkled throughout today’s post. (full disclosure: i bought the fedora knowing we were doing this..) It’s a great accountability to make sure I take high quality photos of him, and it’s fun to see how much he’s changed!
