It rained on their wedding day. And when I say rained, I mean poured. The heavens opened and the sky fell, several times. But Jason and Hayley could not be bothered by it. See, they believe in the story, in the fact that they’ll look back on those rainstorms in 10, 20, 50 years and see the romance and the humor behind it. They met each other in a garden for their first look and the rain started to fall and they just continued embracing and exclaiming. Because this was it. This was the day they’d waited for. The gravity of it all struck Hayley as she walked up to meet her almost husband and she dissolved into happy tears. And I’ve never seen someone light up the way Jason did when he turned to see his bride.
Jason and Hayley are people of joy. You could see it all day long. From the way they flitted around greeting each guest as if they were their best friends. And the way Jason laughed as the ceremony got postponed for five minutes and the guests ran for cover to wait out a rainstorm. And definitely in the way that Hayley shined and smiled and shed tears of joy dancing with her new husband. People spoke of them so highly throughout the day and it was so obvious that this joy had only increased when they decided to be together. They both love the Lord Jesus and serve people with a joy unmatched by this world. Jason and Hayley had left a mark on each guest in attendance, and the day was a beautiful celebration of what God had done to bring them to this point.
We’ve known Jason for a few years now, and have mostly known Hayley as his wedding date over the years :] And there’s nothing like getting to spend time in their presence. You leave with your eyes lifted, your heart lighter. And their wedding day was just like that.
Love these fun getting ready shirts.
So gorgeous. But in all honesty, Hayley said she was going for “romantic, with a bit of gangsta.” Mission accomplished.
Oh yes, she’s ready to go see her man.
The sweetest first look.
First kiss 😀
And this is when it started to pour. They didn’t seem to mind :]
Loved this little nook.
David’s angle! Love it!
Loved the groomsmen attire.
The guests were led in worship before the ceremony started and then the sky fell out :]
And it cleared up and Jason was ready to get married!
Also, the officiant asked Jason to “behold, his bride” and then everyone was crying.
More portraits in the romantic woods behind Lovewell Lodges.
One of Hayley’s bridesmaids painted each centerpiece, all detailing something from their relationship.
Espresso bar!
Donuts instead of cake?! That’s a win!
Oh, it was a party!
Hayley created a rap to “What a Man” for Jason. It was the most amazing thing I’ve ever heard. And it included the line, “Jason, I want to have your babies.” Perfection.
