Oliver and Kelly are best friends. They’ve been together for so long now that I don’t think it was a surprise to anyone in attendance just how much they were waiting for this day. It was finally here. The girls room was bustling with excitement and mimosas as hair and make up progressed. It felt more like a fun get together than it did the beginning of a wedding day. Everyone relaxed, everyone laughing. Kelly beaming and wondering aloud if she’d gotten all of her tears out yet. The guys room was the same. Loud laughs, joking, and Oliver getting ready quickly, ready to marry his bride. The crying finally started when the bridesmaids reported back to Kelly that Oliver had shed real tears opening her gift, a new bible for their family and a monogramed watch. As Kelly slipped on her gown and shared glances with her mom and sister, it was hard not to be emotional. That feeling of, “finally” was in the air.
Oliver and Kelly each had NINE attendants. And I think that speaks to who they are as people. They’re so well loved. The toasts throughout the evening had everyone tearing up as they spoke of Oliver and Kelly’s fierce friendship. They know how to love people and how to show up for them. So it only makes sense that so many would show up for them on their big day. Oliver’s best man shared how constant he’d been as a friend over the years. Kelly’s sister shared that she knew Oliver was special when her dad let him drive the boat the very first time he met him. :] It was emotional the whole day through and such a celebration at the same time. When guests weren’t tearing up at toasts, they were laughing on the dance floor. It was a beautiful, elegant celebration from start to finish.
I met with Kelly over a year ago now. And the day was planned. She was ready. It was just the waiting that was left. She gushed about how much of a gentleman Oliver was to her and how well he treated her. And it was such a privilege to get to see him become her husband. They’re truly a perfect fit. Hope you enjoy their wedding day at the Tresca on 8th.
