Does anyone else feel like today’s a Monday? I love holiday weekends, but it means there’s a lot to do in less time! Especially because we’re about to head out of town again! So I’m buckling down and getting some hustle on (set to a great soundtrack aka hamilton) in the office today. Lots and lots of pretty images to edit through :]

And some that are just plain fun :] Like this short lived sparklerathon in honor of fourth of July yesterday!

This last week felt like it went by so quickly! Our second half of our time in Northern VA was packed to the brim with seeing friends and family and introducing them to Mr Ollie. And he was mighty impressive the whole time. He always seems to turn on the charm for people he hasn’t met before. I basically just toted him around to meet people and he clearly craved people telling him he was a “good baby” because in their presence, he truly was the best! No matter if he started to cry 2 seconds after getting in the car with me :]

We also extended our trip by a day simply because it was beautiful out, we didn’t feel like driving 4 hours quite yet, and one more day meant there was time for a trip to Ikea 😀 Always worth it for Ikea, right? The rest of the week was catching up on editing because a double header means TWICE the post processing. And enter the holiday weekend. I think we might cherish off weekends more than the non wedding industry person does. We so appreciate things like strolling through Target, cooking at home, or swinging on the porch swing because they aren’t always part of our norm. June was busy, and besides one big trip to Norfolk to see family, July has lots of space to breathe!

Now for some feel-y feels.

• My simplified planner informed me on July 1st that “The year is half complete. Make it count.” Um WHAT?! What a terrifying statement. Make it count?! Ah. Not only is the summer half gone but so is the year! Anyone else get time anxiety?!
• Kids under 2? Completely uninterested in sparklers. We were feeling bummed that a fireworks display wouldn’t be the best idea with the little bear, so I had a grand plan of showing him sparklers. I’m not sure what I imagined the experience to be…but blank stares was not it. Here’s to next year.
• We’re in the market for a new couch. FINALLY! Anyone have good sectional recommendations? We’re probably going the Ikea route, but I thought I’d put it out there :] I’m currently using entirely too much free time looking at throw pillows!
• Ikea is seriously my favorite. I love that it’s a maze that MAKES you look at everything, and the fun bins of things along the way. This time we just went to test out the couches, but of course, toured the entire store and Ollie fell in love with a panda bear stuffed animal despite the fact David said we wouldn’t buy anything :] (good news…we escaped for under $25…for now)
• Things I never thought I’d do: Feed a baby in Anthropologie. I’m not sure they appreciated us lounging on their comfy couches…but you gotta do what you gotta do.

Ryan and Emma’s wedding hits the blog tomorrow! And yes..there were HORSES 😀 (who really wanted to eat Emma’s beautiful bouquet)
