Friends, it’s a Monday and I don’t have any editing to speak of! What?! That hasn’t happened in such a long time. (you photographers know that free as a bird feeling I’m talking about ;]) As much as I’ve loved rolling through some wedding photos for the last two months, it’s nice to have a break :] Especially when that break means working on things that’ll enhance our client experience and add more fun surprises/personal touches along the way.
We spent the last week half in Norfolk and half at home. It was David’s mom’s birthday so we spent some time eating yummy breakfast and then checking out the Chrysler Museum to see the Herb Ritts exhibit and oh my gosh, what a gorgeous place! If anyone in the 757 is looking for a venue, look no further, and then call me to be your wedding photographer :] Dream location right there! We also somehow neglected to notice it was cow appreciation day aka SACRED HOLIDAY for our little family until the day before. SO there was lots of scrambling because Ollie had to look good for his first cow day. See below!
I think I’d say mission accomplished on that one! We picked up a white onesie and with the help of my mother in law’s extensive fabric collection, got to work and made it happen just in time :] David and I went our normal route of black clothes, white paper spots and Ollie promptly pulled off all our spots! I’m thankful we’ve got something a little more durable for all of the cow escapades we need to have with him.
If you’re wondering why the heck I’m so into this day: see this post from last year. Or this one from three years ago. I’m obsessed with cows. And this was our fifth cow day and CLEARLY Ollie had a blast :] At least half as much fun as we did 😉
I’m going to be honest. That was the highlight of my week. I also spoke at our summer Cru meeting and did lots of work and hung out with lots of friends. Just a good time reminding me that there’s still so much summer left to be lived! Even though it’s mid July!!!
Now for some feels:
Ollie turned 5 months this week. And I don’t have any recent shoots to share. So you’re getting a whole host of Ollie iPhone snaps instead :] Something tells me you won’t mind!
