It’s another Monday! And another Monday that I’m sharing an Ollie photo. Guys, I’ll just be honest. Ollie is going to wear his cow onesie more than once. And it had to be documented on a real camera. Because his first cow day is too much for my sentimental heart, weirdly, cow-loving heart.

So here’s a little Monday afternoon pick me up for you: Ollie in his cow costume. Complete with fascination at his cow stuffed animal.

Well now that we’ve gotten that out of the way! It’s. almost. August. How?! I feel like I’ve got a month to live up the summer I thought I had all summer to live. We’ve been spending this last week catching up on the insides of KPP and it’s been refreshing. And it’s the hope that we’ll be smooth sailing by the time late August hits and things get CRAZY. We’ve got a full fall season and all the scheduling for that is happening right now! Making plans months to a year in advance isn’t the way I used to roll, but there is something oddly satisfying about color coding in washi tape and writing someone in your calendar in pen (with white out close at hand, inevitably :]).

EDITED TO ADD: This is an important week because there’s NEW HARRY POTTER coming our way. Between the new Fantastic Beasts trailer and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child coming out in script book form, I’m freaking out! And going to the midnight book release DUH! Who’s with me??? Time to dust off the old HP gear (aka from November when we visited WWoHP) and dress up and embrace awesomeness!

We’re about to head out for an anniversary session in a couple hours, but here are some feelers/procrastinator makers for your Monday!

• My friend Holly talks about Boo Mama all the time…and I still haven’t looked into her much..but she did post a list of links to Hamilton faves that I spent this week watching. So that’s a big win in my book! (but seriously, the long interviews with Lin Manuel Miranda are my favorite, I can’t get enough!)
• Also I super loved watching Leslie Odom Jr’s Aaron Burr, Sir series!
• In the spirit of summer, David and I packed up Ollie on a Thursday afternoon and headed to our indoor pool. Annnnnd it was closed due to a swim meet. As a former swimmer, I remember the days of watching hopeful swimmers arrive at the pool only to be turned down…but I never felt bad for them UNTIL IT HAPPENED TO ME. Needless to say, I am still sore over this.
• The drive in theatre is the best thing ever. I just love it. We went last weekend to see Finding Dory and it was just the best. Relatively inexpensive, nostalgia full aka my jam, and so summer-y. 10/10 recommend.
• I’m still learning a lot about what it looks like to be a prepared mom. For example: we took a day trip to Roanoke and forgot both the stroller AND wipes. Phew.
• As you may have seen via instagram, Neville got shaved this week. And it’s both sad and hilarious.
• When someone texts you asking if you want a replica of Voldy’s wand FO FREE, you just say yes. No questions asked.
