Happy Monday, friends! Hopefully your day is feeling a lot like Abby’s day is in the image below. Getting some stuff done in a beautiful workspace :] I got to shoot around in Abby’s office on Friday morning and it was so fun! We always get to laughing, quoting Pitch Perfect, and of course, business when we’re together, so it was a recipe for a good morning.

Butttttttt just in case you’re sitting on your couch like me, getting started a little late, and feeling a little tired, happiest of Mondays to you too :] We spent this last week doing lots and lots of driving, LOTS of shooting time, and shooting weddings. It was the best kind of chaos. You know, the kind that results in a lot of previews on the blog today. Between an engagement shoot out at the beach, two joy filled weddings, and time in Abby’s space, our hearts are full! …and our feet and eyes are tired. SO I think it’s wholly acceptable that I’m working from the couch and marathoning some of The Office for background noise today.

What else happened this week? Ollie turned 6 months old…what the?! How is that possible! How have we had a baby for half a year! I don’t feel quite old enough or knowledgable enough as a mom/human being for that. But here we are. And we’re headed into a new school year this week! So many things! SO many exclamation points! Basically life is moving at warp speed and there’s a lot of good going around. Now if only there could be a couple more hours for sleep added onto each day :]

It’s time for some feels:

• I don’t know that I’ve ever been disappointed by Chipotle, but this past week, it happened. We stopped on the way home from Nikki and Chris’s session in Dewey Beach and Chipotle failed us. Uncilantro-ed rice, chunky avocado in the guac and stale chips? Come on Chipotle. I expected more from you.
• Favorite quote from listening to our fav podcast Dear John and Hank: “Mayo is an instrument…of horror and destruction…and sadness.” It’s just true. There’s nothing good about mayonnaise. It’s the worst. It makes me sad that I even have to say this.
• The best part of doing so much business out of town is the fact that we get to see my family when business takes us to Northern VA! They love loving on Ollie and it makes my heart happy to see love him so.
• There’s nothing quite like being-totally-right-about-the-weather to make a photographer feel like a boss. (in a good way) Yesterday, we took shelter right before bridal party photos because I had a “feeling” that the sky was going to bottom out and about 3 minutes later…it started pouring! And I accepted all high fives that were given with great pride.
• Other wisdom from Dear Hank and John that made me want to cheer? “Sometimes you don’t know about a thing that other people are talking about. You should just listen to them talk about the thing. You don’t have to have something to say. Just listen.”

And to end this super frantic, rambly, preview filled depth of feels…a final preview from Jaelyn and Jonathan’s wedding! What a stunner! So much love and joy and many tears. And SO much to share on the blog in the coming weeks!
