This is a particularly yawn-y and Monday-y Monday. Maybe it’s the fact that my voice is still half gone from all the fun this weekend, maybe it’s the fact that womp, womp election is tomorrow. Maybe it’s the fact that we went to bed past 1 in the morning. Maybe it’s just because the sun set at FIVE PM (can you tell I’m screaming?!) last night! Whatever it is, it’s especially Monday.

Thankfully I’ve got a lot of good memories and pretty images to carry me through the Monday blues. We had a particularly exciting weekend! We traveled most of Friday, and thanks to our spectacular baby boy and podcasts and Hamilton, it was a really good car ride. When you add the fact that driving on I-81 is absolutely beautiful on this time of year, it just gets even better. We spent Friday evening with Abby and Matt, getting in some good coaching that means lots of hard work and exciting things for our little business. And Ollie showed off by throwing his blocks and smiling. Saturday delivered a wedding we’ve been looking forward to since last December! Brian and Casey are SO sweet and were SO excited about their wedding. It was one of those instances where we just clicked with each other, so spending their wedding day together was a true joy. And then Sunday we lounged, enjoyed some delicious tacos, and finished up with an anniversary session with two of our faves (see below) and the drive back home.

It was pure joy. We’re definitely riding out the exhaustion of a full working weekend followed by a very Monday Monday…but we wouldn’t have it any other way right now. Our life is full of things that we feel passionate about and we try not to take that for granted.

Here are some feelings, typed from the couch, because Monday/I work from home.

• You might be a wedding photographer when you know exactly when to click your shutter during certain songs on the dance floor. Examples: Shout, Living on a Prayer, Shake it Off. You know, the classics.
• Oh Bartaco. You’ve got my heart. Delicious guacamole and yummy tacos really hit the spot when you’re recovering from a wedding day hangover. (the kind without alcohol. the kind where you’re just tired and hungry :])
• All you parents out there are going to hate us. Ollie slept in on Daylight Savings yesterday. He slept until 9AM which was really like him sleeping until 10AM which meant WE slept that long as well. And it was perfectly timed and glorious. You can be mad at us. I would be.
• Guys, I know I’ve told you about Shopkick. But I finally earned my first reward. Seriously, after lots of time scanning and walking in stores to get points, I earned enough to get a $25 gift card to Barnes and Noble. And I bought myself a book about Hamilton. I feel oddly proud about all these things.
• Sometimes I cry from joy when the dance floor opens up on a wedding day. Seeing all of the bride and groom’s friends and family on the dance floor, dancing their hearts out, awash in the celebratory, wedding glow just makes me feel things. As a result I’ve cried during the oddest songs…anything from My Girl to Can’t Stop the Feeling.
• I’ve been sick the past week and lost my voice about halfway through Saturday. I can’t help but think of Phoebe from Friends when she had her sexy singing voice. Anyone with me? “My sticky shoe…my sticky, sticky shoeeeeee…”
• Ollie hung out with our long time family friends/besties on Saturday while we worked a wedding. We all grew up together so it was a beautiful moment to see our babies playing together. My poor momma heart almost burst.

I could ramble for days. So much good coming to the blog! I’m REALLY excited about showing off this wedding!
