Our little boy is almost nine months old. He’s almost been in the world as long as he was in my belly. That’s so unbelievable. And he’s so much more like a little human lately. It’s throwing me off and delighting me in the oddest ways.
These last two months he’s become a babbling fiend. He’s always making noise when we’re at the house. He loves to babble especially when other people are talking. He just feels like he has to chime in :] On the contrary, he’s quiet as a mouse in public. He’s got this new grump face whenever we leave the house that has squashed all strangers thoughts about him being a friendly baby. He sits in his throne (aka stroller) and looks as if he’s silently passing judgement on anyone who passes. He’s still really into food, but now even more so! He actually straight up put both of his hands in my yogurt this morning because I wasn’t sharing with him. And he throws a fit when we run out of puffs for him.
Ollie’s active. If he’s awake, he’s moving and shaking and jumping and hitting. He pulls up on the couch and waddles around it. He reaches for us to pick him up. He stands patiently in his crib and waits for us to get him in the morning. He finally got the hang of crawling last week. He LOVES grass and leaves and anything that’s different to touch. And he’s got teeth. FOUR teeth. He’s a little human!
Hilarious updates: He’s got a favorite block. He can pick it out easily and will often hang on to it all day long. He loves the dogs. So much so that he opens his mouth when they try to lick him. Ew. He also will occasionally play peek a boo when we put him in a basket. He’s also a weirdo. Like he’s doing downward dog right now. He’s really into his tongue and spends a large portion of the day with it out of his mouth.
We just love our boy. He’s sweet and funny and we can’t imagine life without him.
