Happy Monday!! It feels like so long since I’ve written to you friends, but in reality, it’s only been a week! So, so much has happened. Our time has been absolutely jam packed with goodness and craziness, and we’re thankful that we’re about to usher in a slower season for the holidays. And hopefully, a little at home time :] I’m blogging from my mom’s couch right now!

The biggest news is: 2016 weddings are DONE! What?! How the heck is that even possible? It feels like yesterday that we were shooting our first wedding of the year in April. I’ll have a reflection post at some point in the next month, but for now I’ll just say, we are thankful. We got to do 14 weddings again this year, all with couples that we absolutely adore. We looked forward to each and every wedding day and even had couples that we loved SO much that we committed to three double header weekends this year. We’re still riding the high/exhaustion of having weddings both Saturday and Sunday, but when the people are wonderful, the post wedding sore feet and tired eyes are SO worth it. We love our clients. And we’re going to be ending the wedding season on a seriously pretty note. There’s some beautiful stuff to come!

(For example, Max and Catherine’s chilly Saturday wedding! The most fun and comfortable atmosphere!)

Also, how can we neglect that this week held Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them?! Aka MORE Harry Potter. I couldn’t be more pleased. I have so many questions and so much excitement for 8 more years of new HP content. We’ve also been on the road, listening to our fav podcast, and basking in the glory that is Hamilton. It’s been a full and lovely week.

Now for feels:

• For the first time in probably 6 years, we left for the Thanksgiving holidays on Friday afternoon. Aka, the same time all of the college students leave. We’ve avoided this for YEARS and our normal 4 hour drive to Northern VA ended up being a 6 hour drive. Thankfully, Ollie’s a rockstar.
• The Hamilton Mixtape is blowing my mind. I’m obsessed with Sia’s version of “Satisfied.” And am loving that Hamilton has been making headlines over the weekend.
• We went to see Fantastic Beasts at 6PM on Thursday. I dressed up, made us get there an hour early, and had full anticipation of an exciting atmosphere. And womp. No one was there. The movie was fantastic, but I was disappointed in HP fans of the NRV. (and yes, my friends/david made fun of me for this.)
• We’re so addicted to How to Get Away with Murder. Are there any other fans out there? The midseason finale had us GASPING and screaming and wishing we had someone to talk to about it.
• All I’ve wanted to talk the last few days is Grindelwald and the fact that we know who died on HTGAWM. Someone help me.
• David finally finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. I’m both proud and slightly embarrassed it took him so long (YEARS).
• We got to work with the best vendors this weekend. And it’s always fun heading back to Shadow Creek and seeing familiar faces.
