The morning of the Vincent and Sarah’s wedding could be characterized by wind. Wind strong enough to rip a door off of their venue the evening before. And still friends and family and vendors bustled around Shadow Creek, bringing about the plans and vision they’d worked for months on, with nothing but enthusiastic smiles on their faces. Vincent checked in with everyone, ever the gracious and kind man that Sarah was to marry in just a few short hours. Sarah and her girls hid away in the bridal suite, laughing and counting down to the moment where Sarah would step into her dress. And once she did, she looked like an actual, literal princess. Sarah’s always radiant, but she was especially so as tulle surrounded her and transformed her into a bride.
Vincent was speechless when he turned around to see her. He wrapped her up in a huge hug and clung closely to her side as we navigated the wind and took frequent breaks to warm up. He only had eyes for Sarah. The morning passed quickly and soon enough it was time to be married. Vincent was overcome with tears as he smiled at his beaming bride walking down the aisle, and again when he said his vows. Their ceremony was all about giving praise to the one they’d come to know and love, their Lord Jesus. And it was about honoring their family, who’d gotten them to this point, who they were so very grateful for.
There’s a special genuineness about Vincent and Sarah. They’re kind in a very noticeable way. You could see that in the way that they interacted with guests throughout the night, some coming from across the world to see their marriage take place. It was especially clear during the toasts. Vincent’s best man spoke of his character and how their friendship deepened as they began to delve into scripture together. Sarah’s maid of honor and twin sister said there was no one in the room that night with whom she’d rather be confused. Their parents and grandparents toasted them, charged them to love God and serve each other. And Vincent and Sarah each gave tearful toasts to their parents, thanking them for not only telling them, but showing them what it looks like to love Jesus with their whole heart. It was an emotional and joyful night. And as Vincent noted at one point, “I’m crying even more than Sarah!” :]
Vincent and Sarah, it was an absolute honor. We were so touched by your ceremony and celebration and so thankful to have been a small part of it. There’s no one we’d rather end our 2016 season with!
So, so gorgeous!
And elegant!
First look time!
I just love them!
Thank you, epic wind, for carrying Sarah’s dress around!
Not a dry eye during this moment.
When you see Sarah’s dress whipping around, just know the wind was that crazy!
Definite favorite!
