I’m feeling ultra refreshed this Monday. Because this past weekend was a weekend full of nothing. No plans in the slightest and it was a dream.
We’ve come to really cherish our weekends off because they are so rare. If we aren’t shooting a wedding and traveling to do so, we’re usually committed to something through Cru or with family. Like we were THRILLED, over the moon, excited to have a whole Saturday. (just as excited than cheese doodles guy) A whole free weekend is so foreign to us that even normal things, like going out to brunch, sound like the grandest of luxuries. Did we go out to brunch this weekend? No. But we did sleep in and then promptly take a nap directly after. That’s in part owed to Ollie taking a four hour nap and also to the fact that my favorite thing in the world is sleep. A nap just never feels like time was wasted. (I will almost always choose sleep over just about anything offered to me)
We also spent time cuddled up in our Christmas-y house and doing some decorating. I love this time of year for many reasons, and having an extra cheerful house is at the top of that list. I also felt very adult-y because we spent time doing things like organizing and cleaning the house…and it was felt really good. Is this what being in your late 20s feels like? Am I in my late 20s when I’m only 26? Does the fact that I’m delighted over a new ottoman make me a little bit lame? These are the things I think about.
(and these are some iphone photos of Ollie because it was a quiet photo week)
Feeeeeeeeels:
He’s Ollie at the zoo with socks on his hands, and looking like a boss after taking a nap. Because it’s Monday. And Mondays can be hard.
