Helloooooo friends! Goodness gracious, it’s been a long time! I think this is the longest I’ve gone without blogging since Ollie was born! It was nice to take a little hiatus around holiday time, but I am glad to be back! I’ve got lots of fun year end wrap up stuff over the next few weeks and finally the reveal of that secret project I’ve been hinting at towards the beginning of January. All that to say…I figured you all would be too busy enjoying the holidays to notice my absence :]

We’ve had a JAM packed week and a half. It doesn’t seem possible that so little time has passed! We’ve traveled to Norfolk and up to Northern VA and now we’re in Baltimore for the next week. Somehow we fit in six Christmases, a little bit of sleep, and lots of time with family. We started with our own family Christmas at home in Radford and it was so wonderful. We so needed a day to just be and be together. We got to give Ollie a couple gifts and watch him attempt to care about opening presents. We baked cookies and listened to Christmas music. It was just the best day. And right after, our holiday marathon started! A week of travels and packing our car just as full as could be. We even squeezed in an engagement session yesterday evening :]

Now we’re in Baltimore for Cru’s annual winter conference. We’re a little tired, but mostly hyped to see all the college students get here! We’ve gotten to be on the conference photographer team for the last few years, and it’s so fun to get to change gears artistically. I’m going to keep this short so we can skip off to a meeting :] Here’s some feels for ya:

• Ollie basically loved Christmas for it’s tags. Yep, you read that right. TAGS. If he spotted a tag on a gift it was all his. He’d much rather chew on some card stock than worry about some silly gift.
• We did our annual trip to Kabuki, the Japanese steakhouse on our Christmas last week. Ollie was dressed in the cutest outfit and upon arriving he pooped all over it. And that’s how he ended up pants-less, with rice all over him, in a nice restaurant. That’s the last time I’ll forget pants in the diaper bag. #parentproblems
• Jordan Smith’s Christmas album is the only holiday album you need in your life. If you’re stilling feeling Christmasy like I am. Spotify it immediately!
• Am I the only one who doesn’t understand the commercials for “SING!”?? Seriously. I can’t understand what that movie is about.
• We finally saw Moana and it was perfection. I’m still humming “You’re welcome” every chance I  get. Thanks Lin-Manuel Miranda. You’ve done it again.
• The only time I’ll shoot on train tracks? If it’s a kiddie track that has a train that’s shut down for the winter :] See below!
