Liz and Drew laughed and glanced at each other when I asked them how they’d met. Drew threw his arm around her and pulled her in close and explained they’d met through a dating service called “It’s Just Lunch.” And both of them firmly believe it was the best decision they’ve ever made. They met for lunch and Drew was sold. It took Liz just a little bit longer to come around, but now life without each other is unimaginable. They’re actually getting married 10 days from today! And when I asked Drew if he was excited? He shrugged and smiled and said “I’m just making something official that I’ve felt in my heart for years now.” Liz is the one for him and there’s been no turning back. In fact it was just that simple when he decided that she was his girlfriend. They’d ended up in Vegas together and Drew tried to describe who Liz was to a stranger, and the only word fitting for her was “girlfriend.”
Our time during their engagement session was so sweet. Liz and Drew have an easy rhythm together. They joke back and forth, exchange glances, trade off sentences in conversation. There were so many little actions that they exhibited that I could tell exist for them every day. The way she slips her hand into his. The way he pulls her into his chest. Her bright smile up at him. They just exist better together. Liz slipped on her trench coat and knit hat and Drew smiled because “that’s how he remembered her.” Her sparkling eyes with her fiery red hair under that knit cap. That’s how it all started on their first date and it was fitting that that’s how they existed in front of the camera.
We loved our time in the soft winter light with these two and it’s SO exciting that their wedding is just around the corner! Hope you enjoy their cozy winter engagement :]
I knew we were off to a good start when Liz mentioned these out of commission kiddie railroad tracks!
Just love this one.
So sweet. They’ve taken many a walk around this park so I loved seeing them cuddle up together!
