Happy snowy Monday to you all! That just feels good to say. I love all seasons for all their season-y-ness. If it’s Spring, bring on the flowers and rain. If it’s Summer, beach please. If it’s Fall, give me the crunchy leaves and sweater weather. So if it’s Winter, it better be snowing and freezing, because if not? What’s the point?! So obviously this past weekend in Virginia was just a joy because we got our first snow day!
This past week went by in a whirlwind! We’ve gotten really good at packing in a LOT when we’re traveling. We got to see a lot of friends and a lot of family and I edited in the car pretty much everywhere we went. So many of our friends from high school and college live up in Northern VA, so before we trekked back home, we had lunches, dinners, mall walks, etc with as many people as possible. And more and more we get to see the up sides of our odd work schedules. Getting a long lunch with friends during the day? Undistracted dinner with family? Working from 10-midnight is totally doable. It’s not how we prefer to exist when we’re in more of a routine, but we make it work for us on the road.
On Friday we drove home in some light flurries and arrived home just in time to get snowed in on Saturday :] It was the perfect way to come back to our little town. I LOVE snow days and the excuse to drink hot cocoa, bundle up, and binge watch shows. We cooked yummy food and even did some house cleaning. And taking the little bear into the snow was the BEST! He didn’t seem to care about it, but we loved how cute he looked in his snow gear. Now for feels:
Like I’ve mentioned on every form of social media, I shot my first friend’s engagement session on Thursday! And it was a dream! Perfect setting and a perfect chilly evening and a brave couple and I can’t wait to share!
