What a week! We’ve been on “winter break” for a month now and we’re craving some routine and normalcy. We spent the last week at home doing lots and lots of business-y things, and then promptly packed up for our first wedding of the year. That’s right! We’ve officially kicked off our 2017 season! Never mind that our next wedding isn’t until May :]

We spent a lot of time in our little home last week. We just love it there. We’re such home bodies and to us, there’s nothing better than a long day spent in our living room. We got lots of those last week. They were accompanied by lots of hard work, but still :] We also had some attempts to have fun! Which you must know, involves Olive Garden and doing some Christmas returns. For real, that’s our love language: gift cards to the Olive Garden and efficiently returning things and using gift cards. It makes for the most relaxing of days. It doesn’t hurt that that day included a trip to the movies and two gracious friends babysitting for us.

We’re currently starting our Monday right by sitting in the local coffee shop, and getting some work done. Now for some holiday Monday feels:

• We started our wedding season off by doing portraits in the barrel room of a winery! Let’s check that off the bucket list!
• It’s my mission to get as many people on board with the Shopkick app as possible. I talk about it like a crazy person, and like earning my (2) $25 gift card(s) is my greatest accomplishment. My mom even took the long way home the other day so I could get some walk in kicks at TJ Maxx.
• On Saturday, I made a joke about David carrying the bouquet for our couple. I said it was his by far his best quality. And then, our groom, Drew, responded quickly with, “I haven’t known you for long, David, but carrying a bouquet is FAR from your best quality! Don’t you believe that!” Annnnnd then it became a running joke throughout the night.
• Ollie has just been a peach lately. He’s just fun. And he’s walking behind his walker like a champ.
• I love our local coffee shop for a lot of reasons. But one of them is definitely the fact that I can come in and see so many people we love! We’re working and chatting with some friends right now, and it’s lovely.
