Like all great love stories, this one started with a great friendship. Max and Casey both have different opinions about the first time they actually met, but life wasn’t quite ripe for them to date, so they maintained a good friendship. They continued that friendship through sophomore year, where Max was thoroughly convinced that he’d never have a chance with his cute friend Casey. And that continued to junior year where it was finally time for sparks to fly. They got to spend more and more time together as their schedules started to mesh and there was no denying that this with for real. And with a simple “I’m with him” in a check out line that Max declared their moment, it was even more certain. Since then they’ve gotten to be best friends who are in love, and isn’t that the best ending possible? :]
Max and Casey and incredibly sweet together. Max has a tenderness in the way he looks at his soon to be wife and Casey is bursting with joy whenever their eyes meet. It was so fun to see how delighted Casey was when Max would lean down to kiss her. And how they would both light up as they laughed together. And how they melted into each other as they danced in downtown Blacksburg, like the world had disappeared. They are crazy excited to get married and it’s contagious to be around! David and I were smiling big the rest of the night after our time with them!
We got connected with Max and Casey through the VT Cru family and that is always a great place to start! We’ve obviously got a soft spot for college love stories because we have one, but even more so a Cru love story! We know first hand what it’s like to fall in love in the midst of a community of people who love Jesus. We loved our time with them and it’s got us counting down until they tie the knot in June!
How fun is this wall in downtown Blacksburg??
Oh Casey, just so gorgeous.

This set of images in front of the Lyric Theatre in Blacksburg are my favorite!
