…it’s gonna be May :]

As a 90s girl, you really can’t blame me for starting the month that way, right?! Some of my friends teach young kids/almost teens/teens and most of them don’t understand that N*sync reference! Is that not the saddest thing you’ve ever heard?

Well anyways, it’s finals week over here! So we’re entering 4 months of a totally different schedule than usual! It’s time to officially shift our gaze towards wedding season and we’re SO excited. T minus 12 days and counting until the first one of the season back at gorgeous the Shadow Creek. Along that vein, we did our first sunrise session in who knows how long this past weekend! Honestly, probably the first time we’ve done sunrise since pre Ollie, so that’s really saying something! The light is a special kind of soft and gorgeous in the morning and I got reminded of that all over again this past weekend. I’m also always amazed at how beautiful my couples still look at 6AM :] Proof below.

The last week was the beginning of the goodbyes to our senior class. It’s always sad, but also really sweet. Tonight is our send off and we’ll spend the next week doing lots of personal goodbyes. Living in a college town is hard with all the turnover, but it also means we’re constantly meeting sweet people and getting to be in their lives for a time.

Well that’s enough of that sap! I’m an emotional girl so I’ve already done a bit of crying the last week, so let’s move on to the feels :]

• For some reason, I always get nervous that the sun is going to sleep in when we’ve got a sunrise session. We’ll be driving out to the location and it’ll be pitch black and I’ll get all anxious about the sun coming up like it doesn’t do that every day of my life. 
• I blogged a personal project about redemption last week and it’s one of my favorite things I’ve done lately. It’s a really surreal feeling to get to combine all the things you love. Head over to the post to see what I mean.
• Ollie got up in the middle of the night last night, which you would think would be unfortunate…but it was really just the best. He curled up in my lap after he ate a bottle and went right to sleep. He doesn’t sleep on us anymore and I was so tempted to just fall asleep on the couch with him! It’s the sweetest when he snuggles!
• I can’t believe that I haven’t mentioned this…but I went to an escape room a weekish ago! I’m obsessed with it. We had so much fun and got out with 3 minutes to spare. Give me a puzzle to solve and a little bit of competition and I’m a happy camper.
• About a day and a half of my last week was spent on making a video for our graduating seniors. I went through over four years of footage looking for clips of the graduates and it ended up being well worth it :] (…i may have cried a little making it)

I’m telling ya, it was quite a week. I also did a roommate/senior session for some lovely women and cannot wait to show it off on the blog tomorrow!
