It’s a feel-y Tuesday instead of a Monday because we went out of town and I just plain forgot it was the beginning of the week! Starting off a Monday by sleeping in will definitely do that to ya! Again, another reason that I’m so, so thankful for our jobs. We totally don’t work normal weeks and if working a long wedding day on Saturday means we get to spend some time with our little guy on a Monday during the day, then I’m all for it!

It’s wedding season, friends! We started off this summer with Chris and Nikki and it could not have gone better! The day called for lots of rain and we didn’t have a drop of it :] Instead, we had perfectly overcast skies and a nice spring breeze. And also…we had the most fun! I think that would’ve been the same rain or shine though! Chris and Nikki were so, so fun and their friends and family were an absolute blast on the dance floor. Like for real, David and I were laughing and smiling all evening long! It’s the times that 10 hour wedding days go by in the blink of an eye that we know how much fun we had!

Most of the rest of this week was FAR less glamorous. (just in case you thought we just flitted back and forth to weddings all day every day :]) Ollie got sick last week and it made it the LONGEST week ever. Poor guy was so uncomfortable and it resulted in us getting so much less sleep than we would’ve preferred and doing a lot more stuck in the house-ness than we would normally prefer. By the end of the week when we were packing up to come to Northern VA for the wedding, we were so relieved to be leaving the house! Thankfully, he’s doing a lot better now :] We’ve been soaking up some family time while we’re up here as well as an engagement session so we’ve been jam packed with joy!

Now for some feels!

• Sometimes, David and I can convince ourselves in to things that aren’t the wisest for the sake of fun. And that was totally the case the night before we went out of town. Instead of packing and doing laundry…we bopped around the stores in Christiansburg and went out for Outback Steakhouse. Bloomin Onions can make a decision real easy :]
• Favorite quote from all our podcast listening as we roadtripped: “You tweet SO much! What must it be like to feel like the world has to hear from you multiple times a day??” – John Green
• Best thing ever to hear after an engagement session? “You made us feel SO comfortable.” Oh, I can’t explain what that means to me! That’s exactly our goal and I love that our couples feel that way.
• Being home with family for me means that there are always guac ingredients available. Because I’m the only one who knows how to make it. It’s always sweet to see those avocados lined up for me when we get in from traveling.
• Ikea is out to get us. Especially now that the kids section is so applicable to us. Ollie ran around and we wanted to buy him everything he even LOOKED at.
