Wes and Becky have a classic love story with a little bit of a twist. They grew up on the same street and in the same church, but they didn’t start dating until the tail end of college! She was truly his girl next door, but it took until she wasn’t next door for either of them to make a move! They were just friends for so long, that even when Becky agreed to go on a date with Wes, no romance was permitted. No long walks allowed! :] But even still, months went by and Wes took a long drive down to Harrisonburg to ask Becky to make it official, and they’ve been together ever since! Through so much transition and long distance and growth, they’ve stuck side by side and it’s made all the difference.
So obviously, when Wes asked for Becky’s forever atop the ferris wheel at the National Harbor she said yes! And come December, the long distance, driving back and forth to each other’s houses, living life without the other will all be over. They’re getting married and it couldn’t come sooner! Honestly, it’s hard to believe that Wes and Becky ever existed without the other. They’re two different sides of the same coin and they seem to be more of themselves when they’re hand in hand. Our time in Ellicott City was marked by smiles and quiet whispers and stolen glances. I loved getting to see them walk around together knowing that this is how they often exist. Side by side, strolling their city, stopping for delicious food and great conversation along the way. And towards the end of the session, I got to see some of their playfulness and see even more why they belong together!
Hope you enjoy Wes and Becky’s engagement session! We loved our time with them!
