It’s that old familiar love story. Boy sees girl across a crowded room and just knows he needs to talk to her. It was similar to any other night at the University Club in DC, but this one was different…if only because it was the beginning of something wonderful. Jason spotted Stacey as soon as she walked in. And vowed to his buddy he’d go over to talk to her at some point. And that he did, and if nothing else, Stacey was swayed by his infamous purple gingham shirt! If things had happened any differently that evening, maybe the stars would not have aligned. But thankfully, time found Jason and Stacey in the same place at the same time and it changed everything about their lives. Once you spend any amount of time with them you can see their love story come to life right before your eyes. As they relayed their proposal story to me, I had no trouble picturing Stacey lamenting about not being engaged quite yet, while Jason secretly hid the ring in his pants pocket…only to pop the question a few minutes later around the corner from their home. It’s a fun testament to their chemistry and balance together!
We met for a foggy, dreary sunrise a few mornings ago in Washington DC. We strolled around the Lincoln Memorial and I was immediately set at ease by how invitational and genuine Jason and Stacey are. From the very first frame, they were laughing and smiling and you could just tell that this is how they exist together. There’s a joy in their eyes when they’re with each other and a sense of comfort that exists when they’re side by side. I’m sure the next 5 months before their wedding day are just going to FLY by!
Jason and Stacey, I may have wore out your “kiss quota” for the week, but I think it was well worth it for these images :] We loved getting to celebrate this season of life with you guys!
Everyone always gets SO nervous when the sun doesn’t show up for their session, but the cloudy morning meant we could shoot ANYWHERE!
Love their laughter!
That ring!
Stacey, you are GORGEOUS!
Hey Abe :]
Favorite!
So in love with Stacey’s Lilly :]
We finished up at the War Memorial.
