Well, as of next week you won’t hear me going on and on and our season of rest :] Because as of Saturday, we’re in busy, busy, full of joy, busy season! But for now, let me just tell you about my relaxing week. *insert heart eyes here, i love rest*

For real friends, we never expect our May and June to be so scarce. July/August/September/through the winter will totally make up for it…but we’ve had the best time just being with each other. I woke up several times last week and after I answered emails, I was free as a bird! Both of our jobs are SO seasonal and these last few weeks have been “off” in the best sense of the word. I read books and took naps and played with Ollie without worrying about getting behind. Amen to that, right friends?! David and I did a little more cooking at home and I did some fun out of the norm things to celebrate a slow week! We loved it!

But YES, we did have a wedding on Saturday! And it was a stunner! I’m going to share a TON on the blog this week, but for real, I was awe struck quite a few times. Casey’s dress was perfection and the way that Max looks at her is swoon worthy and I’m already having an impossible time picking my favorites. Such joy and it was the perfect cap to our week! Especially when you add in the lazy Father’s Day we spent together afterwards :]

Here are some lazy feels from the past week:

• This is what a relaxing momma week looked like for me: re-reading two full books and going to the movies by myself. All three were slightly self indulgent love stories. And I loved every second of it.
• My lovely friend Carly watched Ollie during our wedding Saturday and reported what her 4 year old, Ivy Kate, whispered to her at one point during the day: “Is their family’s name bear?!” Like she thought our last name was Bear. I was hysterical. And kind of wish it was true.
• I had a major milestone at this past wedding: I got two strangers to slow dance. One guest was swaying and being goofy as the slow song started so I asked him if he was waiting for someone to cut in and then pointed to the girl standing near him. It was a great accomplishment. (I’ll shoot your wedding one day, okay? ;])
• This past week I realized I am intently following/stalking a specific demographic on Instagram. Broadway performers. In shows that are currently on Broadway. They’ve got me hooked.
• Ollie’s got a circus tent in our living room right now and it’s the cutest thing. He loves hiding out in there and I just want to squish him when he drags his pet armadillo around (see my insta-stories for more!)
• We’ve got a Zoe’s Kitchen obsession. It’s real. I went three times in one week.
