So this was just about the most jam packed week…ever. Seriously. Ever. First of all, my little sister got ENGAGED yesterday! Goodness gracious! Life is exciting! But I’ll get to that in a moment :]

The last four days went a little something like this – drive to Northern VA (which is quite a task with the Olliebear). On Friday we shot an absolutely beautiful wedding in Leesburg! And then we woke up the next morning at 6AM, drove back to Radford, and shot ANOTHER gorgeous wedding. Annnnnd then we pulled ourselves together one last time to scheme and shoot my sister’s proposal followed by surprise engagement party! Phew! So yes, you could say we’re tired :] And you could say we were busy. I’m simply drowning in beautiful images to edit through over here! Remember when I said July was our busy month? I wasn’t lying :]

But here’s the thing. I’d do it again in a heartbeat. I don’t regret it one second. The only times we ever take double header weddings is when we CHERISH both couples and we can’t imagine it being anything but a joy to get up early on that second day and head off to another wedding. We especially never thought we’d do another wedding weekend where the first wedding was in Northern VA and the second was a four hour drive back home! But that’s just how much we love these people. We simply couldn’t imagine missing either! And obviously we weren’t about to miss my sister’s engagement! Eek! I have so, so many stories to share from this past weekend and I’m SO excited to do so! I’ll be spending a lot of time with my feet propped up, editing my little heart out for the next week. As much as this weekend was glamorous…the aftermath to a beautiful weekend is not often so cute :] Lots of messy buns and leggings and netflix and couch working is in my future.

(but yeah. not that i’m complaining. because goodness! look at this exit!)

Ahhhhh now for some feels.

• On Friday, shortly before dinner, the priest was asked to come say a blessing before we all had dinner. And before he prayed…he JUGGLED! Tennis rackets, baseball bats, and then machetes! I’m not kidding people! He straight up juggled and everyone was in shock and awe!
• I went through almost an entire wedding day on Saturday without realizing that the front of my dress was noticably torn. *insert embarrassed face here* Thankfully it was a wedding full of our friends? My sister was gracious enough to tell me at the end of the night so I wouldn’t worry about it all day long!
• The most nervous I ever get is when I’m shooting a proposal. And shooting my sister’s and executing the set up? The most nervous ever! Add in the fact that Ollie was with us and was throwing cheerios over and over again and testing out the echo in our hiding spot and I was just a big emotional mess!
• Here’s how you end a two wedding weekend…by ordering pizza to be delivered to your house at 11:30PM. There was an option to send dominoes a thank you message and I sent over “you are my pizza heroes.”
• Essentially all Ollie’s done for the last several days is watch Moana. We’ll add some variety back into his life soon. But hey, we’re too tired to do anything but cuddle and Moana is cuddle guaranteed.
• We bought a giant diamond ring floatie for kelsey’s party/the beach and it was SO fun! But my original plan was to blow it up in the car and it turns out it took 30 minutes to blow up via tire pump. #flawedlogic. In other news, I’m obsessed with it.
