It’s a real live Monday over here. I’m starting my new routine of blogging/answering a weekend’s worth of emails on Sunday night so that Monday can get off on the right foot :] We’re starting up Cru staff again today so we’re in for a long day of planning and prayer and conversation to get the ball rolling for a good year.
Normally, I go into the school year all pumped for a fresh start and a new routine, but I’m dragging my feet a little bit this time around. I LOVE the college students and I’m excited for them to flood into town again…but I also really loved this summer :] Like so much. We had unconventional work days, so many fun trips, and a lot of time with our sweet little toddler. I think we’ll be able to squeeze in one more day of summer fun before all the crazy starts up, so I’m looking forward to that! I’m not sure that I ever anticipated how much I’d cherish time with my little fam, but it really is my most favorite thing in the world.
(but also….can we talk about this gorgeous bride?! Eek! Lily, you were a vision!)
Honestly, we spent this last week doing just that. A lot of escaping reality and spending some quality time :] There was a family night out in Roanoke with SO much yummy food and a girl’s night out in Blacksburg to celebrate a sweet friend. And my favorite of all, a date night with my guy doing the most normal things. We also shot our last summer wedding at sweet Sinkland Farms! Our world has been all weddings lately between our normal jobs and then add in the fact that my sister and one of my besties just got engaged. And then add in that I’m IN a wedding next weekend for a lifelong friend and we’re headed to the west coast in a couple weeks to see one of my closest high school friends get married! Life is a WHIRLwind of joy right now!
Feels time:
Legit so THRILLED with JP and Lily’s wedding! More soon!
