September is just the craziest! I wish I could tell you all why, but there’s only so much I can share :] It’s been just plain LIFE busy aka weddings and travel and david’s high school reunion and CRU start up. BUT there’s been something else taking up our time as well! You can tag along on instagram or stay updated with the blog if you want to know the secret we’ve been keeping!

Anyways. Back to the fact that we went to David’s high school reunion this weekend. Are we really old enough for that, friends? It doesn’t feel like it :] It was only a 10 year reunion, but he graduated from such a small class (45!) that they decided to get together! I’ve heard enough stories over the years to know who people are and not feel too, too awkward being in a room with his high school buddies. I always make fun of David because his high school experience does not sound real to me. It sounds more like a movie where they just pranked teachers and had fun all the time! So needless to say, it was fun to see/meet the trouble makers who played a big part in those stories. They even got David’s latin teacher to come out :]

Other than that, we spent this week wishing we were still in California hahah. We love our jobs and the people in our town, but there’s something about travel that does our souls good. David conquered his 3rd week of teaching, I conquered my new schedule (barely tbh, there were some late nights), and Ollie conquered knowing where his belly is. He’s very proud of that little belly. We had some super late work nights, but as usual, we’re thankful that we’re in control of our own schedules and this busy season is just that…a season. Here’s to having a weekend OFF this upcoming weekend and living it to the fullest. (aka napping)

Now for feels:

• I’m not a big alcohol person. I can just never get into acquired tastes! BUT I fell in love with Moscow mules this weekend. Specifically apple. I could drink one of those every night and be a happy camper.
• We’re booking new brides like WOAH lately and LOVING it! Yes, we’re still in the thick of this year’s wedding season, but goodness do we love looking forward to the wonderful people we get to work with! 2018 is shaping up to be SO beautiful and so fun!
• Hamilton is an always in our house. From streaming it every single road trip to accidentally staying up past midnight watching videos we’ve already watched. We’re just amazed by the art of it all and we talk about it daily. (thankfully I convinced david into it, or I’d be one lonely fangirl)
• Ollie is a hesitant adventurer. He’s shy at first, but then barrels in while laughing hysterically. When he was at the beach this weekend, he did just that! After avoiding the ocean for a few minutes he ran straight towards it….and then slowly fell face first into the sand. We were a little concerned, but also laughed really really hard.
• “Just sitting here thinking about how awesome it is that y’all enjoy each other so much.” – a legitimate DM from my friend Holly. So true. And I’m so thankful that David and I are in it together and have fun whatever we’re doing.
