Oh friends. I disappeared for a little bit didn’t I? Our big move (two streets over) meant that I fell completely off the radar! Wifi that hadn’t been set up yet, boxes for days, and most of our major appliances malfunctioning created a little bit of a perfect storm. Thankfully, I had mentally/schedule-y prepared for this so it didn’t hurt too bad. But still, when it rains, it pours!
The last two weeks have totally revolved around getting our lives back together. Moving was bittersweet, but I’m super thankful that we sent our little house out the way we did. You see, I’m a sentimental girl and I don’t handle change well…so David did A LOT to make sure I was comfortable with the move. We did a little photoshoot in our home with Ollie to celebrate the time we’d spent there and he even left up (/put it back when he saw how sad I was) our gallery wall so it could be the last thing to go. We prayed and thanked God for all that had happened within those walls and had one last swing on the porch before we headed out. And then we were drowning in boxes. BUT with a ton of help from my sister and a few friends, this place is starting to become livable. Aka the living room/kitchen/Ollie’s room are safe and unpacked. The rest of the house will have to wait to be done slowly :]
Also can we talk about how Ollie is SUCH a toddler lately. So emotional and funny and clingy and trying to be independent. Here he is force feeding me grapes and then cuddling his papa.
In the midst of the crazy, we celebrated Ollie’s first Halloween trick or treating, learned (not really) how to circumvent being small business owners without wifi, and shot an engagement session. November is proving to be a little hectic as far as photography goes, but we’re very excited to spend a lot of time with new and old friends/clients! Also PS: the leaves in Virginia are PERFECT right now! It makes me so thrilled to have all these November sessions (and one wedding) with so many bright colors!
Now I’m off to handle our Verizon wireless internet problem, but I’m leaving some feels for ya.
But for real, this session was TOO good. I’m so looking forward to working on these images tomorrow!!
