Adam and Lexi are not the result of a chance meeting, but instead, a meeting ordained since the beginning of forever. Summer 2014 brought them both to Hampton Beach, New Hampshire on a summer mission with Cru. Neither expected all that would follow! Especially because the first time they remember interacting…it wasn’t exactly fireworks :] But still…a friendship persisted and eventually an interest persisted, but summer mission had ended. And then came the challenge of figuring out how to date when they lived approximately 5 hours apart. After some back and forth and misunderstanding and stumbling through the possible “I like you”s but “are we going to date?” conversations, Adam made the grand gesture that sealed the deal. He walked into Lexi’s local coffee shop when she was only expecting to meet friends there and it was settled once and for all :] That surprise set them up for a relationship full of surprises!
As of a little over a year ago, Adam and Lexi live in the same town. But all the time before that was marked by long drives to see each other and texting and planning and road trips, and soon, they’ll really get to be together. Their relationship hasn’t gone without hardship, but they’re all the better for it. They’ve gotten to learn to love each other better and love Jesus better over the years and that’s what defines their friendship. A few months ago, Adam, once again, surprised Lexi in a coffee shop…but this time, he had a ring! She walked into their local coffee shop to find a table set just for them, including a spot for the future Mrs. Farrar :] Who would’ve ever thought that the Radford guy would get the Maryland girl! But here they are, years later, getting ready to get married in a few months!
I’ve known Adam since he was a freshman in college. And similar to Brandon, he was one of the college guys telling me that I’d shoot his wedding one day. And here we are :] I get a little weepy thinking about knowing even a glimpse of all God has done in these two to bring them to this point. They get the gift of loving each other so they can see Jesus even more clearly and that is a truly beautiful thing. Congratulations and we’re SO excited for you guys!
Hope you enjoy their engagement session! Of course, we started in a coffee shop :]
I swear, these two didn’t go 30 seconds without laughing! It was awesome!
So smiley :]
Loved this little nook in Heritage Park we found!
