Doesn’t it always seem like you get sick when you are finally close to slowing down? Maybe it’s just me :] Ollie got sick last week, and naturally, he insisted I share all my food with him pretty much every meal of his life…so now I’m sick! And it never quite seems like my toddler gets the message when I need him to take it easy 😉 

Is anyone else having a hard time believing that it’s December? This is how I normally know that life has slowed down/gotten normal again after the beginning of the semester/fall wedding season – we consistently have food in our fridge and are actually cooking our own dinners. We got to that point as of about a week ago :] I guess moving really did a number on us! On the flip side, I am feeling super thankful that the holiday season means some family time and some peaceful time at home. We spent a good bit of this past weekend getting pictures and things up on the walls and it’s made all the difference in making this feel like home! We’ve got one more wedding this weekend to finish out our 2017 season, and then we’ll probably camp out in our house for about a week. I see Sweater Weather candles and twinkle lights in our future :]

Speaking of wedding season, we had an engagement session and a vow renewal this last week! Both were for couples we know via Cru so we just had a blast being with them. I’m super excited to share BOTH of those on the blog this week because it was so wonderful! My friend Nicolette had the most beautiful day and it was such a testament to how God has moved in her marriage these last few years. I am already mentally preparing myself to write her blog post aka I’m going to cry :] I got to shoot her elopement when their marriage started and to be there again for the big celebration was so, so lovely. Also, weddings are extra fun when you get some of your college friends in one place :]

Now I’m off to host our small group from church AND my college girl’s small group at our new house tonight! Time to very speedily decorate for Christmas :] Here’s some feels (and so many previews obvi!)

• Is it just us…or is Kroger pizza the best home cooked pizza of them all? 3 for $11 is an obvious selling point, but we genuinely think they’re so good!
• Ollie is crazy into reading books lately. He goes to sleep with books in his crib, demands being read to when he first wakes up, and throws them everywhere all day every day….wait…that last one might be a toddler thing 😉
• We hosted our friends for the first time this past weekend :] It was just for a few hours, but we loved getting to use our house for what we pictured when we bought it! More of that tonight!
• Vow renewals are twice as sweet when the couple has a precious little one year old daughter who is just as sweet as can be the entire wedding! She was the star of the show! Especially because she was wearing a dress made from parts of her grandmother’s wedding dress!
• I’m DYING to share images from our home shoot that was in OCTOBER, but the blog has been so full lately! It feels weird to be going through images from our old house 6 weeks after we moved…but I promise I’ll get around to sharing them eventually!
