The forecast called for snow and lots of it. Everything looked a little bit more magical than usual as the neighborhood that Becky grew up in transformed into a winter wonderland. The sun reflected off the snow so that it was a whole world of pristine white! The house was bustling and her dad was was wiping snow off cars and the girls were bundled up in the cutest pajamas and Becky was glowing! In anxious anticipation for the moment she’d get to meet Wes out in the snow. Most of the girls have known each other since childhood, so there was a special energy in the room as they got ready. Once she was in her dress, complete with snow boots, it was off to meet her groom! Who quite simply couldn’t keep his eyes off of her when he turned around for their first look! Wes broke into the biggest smile and wrapped Becky up in the biggest hug. She sunk into him all teary eyed because it was finally their day! Snow or not, this was exactly how she’d dreamt it! Her sparkly white dress, her groom looking oh so dapper in a tux, and the two of them surrounded by their dearest friends and family.
The ceremony was perfectly to the point. All about Jesus and celebrating that He’d be the center of their marriage. Becky wiped tears back as she walked down the aisle and as the whole sanctuary sang praise. Every detail was so special. They were married in the same church they’d both grown up in, the same church her parents had gotten married in, and later, they’d head to the same reception hall their parents had celebrated their own wedding in! Wes and Becky got the privilege of carrying on the legacy. After the knot was tied and all the stomping through the snow was done, their people celebrated the night away together. Becky kept exclaiming that this was her dream and it was so sweet to see it come to fruition.
We LOVED this day! Everyone had such great attitudes about the snow and it definitely made for some fun portrait time :] Wes and Becky are really wonderful together and the people surrounded them are just as wonderful! And hey, there’s nothing quite as magical as walking through the snow in your wedding dress, your snow boots, and your new husband :] So excited to be sharing this day with you all!
