Friends, February has just been the absolute best. I’m super sad to see it go in a couple days! For the first time (besides maternity leave), I took some intentional time off of shooting, not booking anything for the entirety of February. And now I feel so refreshed! I’ve been taking time to do things that get backed up and put off during the normal crazy of wedding season. And I’ve been getting to watch lots of educational shooting videos which are my fav. All of that adds up to me being SO excited and confident about having a busy shooting weekend starting a week from now :]
In short, it kinda makes me feel like this.
Personally, the last few weeks have looked like self imposed four day weekends and time with friends and family coming into town! Typically, our Fridays are reserved for travel and wedding prep or finishing up wedding edits. But, since it’s “off” season, Fridays have been for whatever we’d like :] And since Thursdays are reserved for me and Ollie, that means Thursday through Sunday are essentially the best ever! We had my best friend come into town, my sister one weekend, David’s best friends (and now mine too haha) came in, and a lot of our family came in for Ollie’s birthday! It’s been lovely and I wish we could do it all over again.
I’m also planning for Cru’s Spring Retreat in Radford! We don’t typically do that retreat here so there’s a lot more planning involved than usual! And just in case you missed it, Ollie turned TWO and we had a very Sesame Street birthday party for him. So that was where all my excess creative energy went :]
Anyways, that’s our little life update. Life is good and slow for at least another couple days! We’re still here! We’re just enjoying the off season. Don’t you worry, there’s literally three sessions and a wedding coming up in a week, so the blog will be back to being FULL very soon!
Here’s some feels:
Ollie has only gotten cooler in the last month. He’s talking up a STORM and we are finally understanding what he’s saying! And also, watching my friend cut these letter out with her cricut makes me want one real bad.
