Rachel grew up going to the beach with her family. The quite, sleepy little town of Cape May holds so many memories for them. It only made sense that that’s where she would get married one day! The fog was heavy the morning of the wedding, making the sleepy town look even more empty. Rachel and her lifelong friends gathered in the Hotel Alcott, preparing for the day many had been waiting for since Brendan came into the picture. Brendan was greeting everyone, his nerves coming out just a little bit because it was finally happening! Rachel opened her letter from Brendan after she got into her dress, laughing and smiling the whole way through because she knows him so well! Brendan did the same, he knows full well the amazing woman he found. The ceremony was short, sweet, and packed with loved ones. Everyone let out the loudest cheers when it was official, filling the hotel to the brim with celebration!
The toasts from their friends and Rachel’s father were rich with confidence. Confidence in them as a couple, as individuals, and the way they knew this was meant to last. The sentiment that Rachel shared with me over a year ago, that Brendan makes her feel safe, echoed through the words that were shared. He just cherishes her. And it was so clear how well loved these two are together. Friends and family traveled hours to get to the island and spent the whole weekend celebrating them! The dance floor was packed and everyone was having a blast, but then again, so was the rehearsal dinner! And so was the beach after the wedding! It was a weekend long party for the new Mr. and Mrs. Morrissey.
Brendan and Rachel, we are so, so thankful to have been a part of your celebration! Thank you for bringing us to Cape May, for going out onto the beach, for being the most laid back bride and groom! Your wedding day is one that we’ll never stop smiling about :] We love you guys! Hope you’re having the best time in Hawaii!
