Leonard and Michelle met through church, but it took quite awhile for them to really get to know each other. Eventually, they were lucky enough to find happiness in each other’s arms and about a year ago, Leonard made it official. He brought Michelle out for wine tasting on a week day, so she was super unsuspecting. After that, to Goodstone Inn and then to the Spring House where he set up a big surprise and asked for her forever! Michelle admits she doesn’t remember anything he said, but she started crying as soon as she knew what was going on. Now there’s just over a month until they get married! They both love their families and love to spend time reminiscing together – a match made in heaven.
It’s perfectly fitting that we did their session at Goodstone Inn – after all, it was the site of their engagement! But even better, we got to walk and talk in a beautiful setting, we got to hear all about their relationship and their wedding. Leonard and Michelle shared fun details from their years together – which is one of their favorite things to do! We got a little bit of every type of weather in every type of setting during their session – overcast farmland, drizzly ivy covered walls, full out rain at one point, and then finally, golden sun in the tall grass. It was a dream session! And Leonard and Michelle are the kind of people who make you want to be around them even more. They’re welcoming and kind and they make each other light up with joy!
It took quite a bit of maneuvering to figure out a date for their session after we had to cancel for rain, but I’m so thankful we made it happen! And we get the added bonus of seeing them again in just over a month! Yay! Cannot wait for their wedding at the Four Seasons in DC!
