Meghan might be the most excited person I’ve ever known. Her capacity for celebration is always growing, so of course, her wedding day was going to be full to the brim with emotion! All of the girls arrived with giant smiles on their faces, Meghan’s biggest of all! She also has a knack for developing and maintaining deep, deep friendships, so all of the people in the room were cherished by her beyond measure. She loves so deeply and Ryan has been the lucky recipient of that love for awhile now, and today, they’d say yes to forever and ever! Meghan stepped into her dress and donned her jewelry amidst laughter and delight from her favorite people. She gasped as she opened a necklace from Ryan, quickly swapping it out with her current necklace proclaiming that this jewelry was “TOO special” to wear any day but today. She was more ready than ever to marry Ryan.
And clearly he was ready too. Ryan burst into tears when he’d barely even had a glimpse of his bride. Meghan just smiling wide as she walked with her father down the aisle. A little bit of a role reversal for them as Ryan is normally the calm, peaceful one! They exchanged vows and rings and then giddy smiled as music from Star Wars accompanied them up the aisle as husband and wife, a sweet little surprise from Meghan to her new husband. As soon as they rounded the corner, more tears! They did it! They were married! The day had finally arrived!
The evening was a blur of hugs and kind words and dancing and of course, so much fun. All 180 guests dissolved into tears and disbelief when they arrived at their seats to find a personal note of thanks and acknowledgement from either Ryan or Meghan. Just another way their thoughtfulness was woven into the day. Ryan and Meghan are inclusive, intentional, and so fun to be around. You could see it in the way they bopped around the dance floor all night. In the way they connected with every person that they could possibly get to. In the way that the most excited they looked all day was when they entered the reception and saw all of their favorite people in one room! The night passed in a blink and they walked off with thankfulness in their hearts and sparklers lighting the way.
I’ve known Meghan since I was 15 and she has always consistently been one of the kindest people I know. Never one to put someone down, never one to put herself first. She’s selfless and joyful and good in a way that you don’t see very often in this world. And goodness, did she meet her match in Ryan! I left their celebration so FULL of joy. They’re both truly so lucky to be loved by each other. David and I are crazy thankful we got to be the ones documenting their day! What a privilege! We love you guys!
