Ryan and Brittany met in college and have essentially been inseparable ever since! It all started at the campus bookstore, where they both worked and were quickly drawn to each other. They got to know each other in between classes, studying for exams, balancing work and school and social life. They got to know each other during some of the most formative years of their lives and they got to do it all together. Eventually, they moved away, always side by side. They even survived a road trip to and from California in a little car, still together. Years after it all began, Ryan set up a proposal, asking for forever from his already best friend. He even involved their sweet puppy :] Safe to say that Brittany’s answer was yes after she saw the pup’s note that asked “will you marry my daddy?” In just a few months they’re getting married back where their love story began!
After nearly a YEAR since we found out we’d be shooting their wedding, we finally got to meet in person for their engagement session! And it was on the hottest and most crowded night in downtown Alexandria. But you’d never know from their smiling faces and by how wonderful they looked! We dodged pedestrians, cars, and even a fast moving thunderstorm and their session is now one of my all time favorites. The glow off the water was unreal, and Brittany and Ryan are just so sweet together. The easy back and forth between them was magnetic, something that could only be developed by time together. I love the way Ryan makes Brittany laugh and the way she smiles a little wider when he holds her close.
Ryan and Brittany, thanks for making the trek down to Northern VA! I’m so impressed by you guys and we had the best time with y’all. Can’t wait for the big day at Chateau Morrisette :]
We started on the popular Prince Street and dodged all of the elements :]
Brittany is just so stunning. Imagine her in her wedding dress! All the heart eyes!
*Entering the water portion of their session* Cue me being so excited and gushing over them constantly.
Brittany…goodness girl, you’re gorgeous!
