Like most great things, Jamie and Kendall started on the internet! More specifically a swipe right scenario. And thank goodness they did, because now they’re getting married! After a few months of dating, Jamie’s friend gave him a strong nudge to just ask Kendall to be his girlfriend already and they’ve been together ever since! And now, after years and moving in together and even after Kendall’s sweet pup becoming part of their little family, it’s time to make it official! Jamie set up a proposal that would be the best surprise for Kendall. Her whole family went to a sign making shop and during a picture together, Jamie flipped the sign so Kendall could see “Will You Marry Me?” painted on his. He got on one knee and Kendall started laughing in shock with an obvious yes as her answer.
Jamie and Kendall are so fun together. They keep each other cracking up constantly, truly best friends who enjoy the privilege of being in love. I loved getting to watch them smile and cuddle and delight in each other during their session. Their adorable puppy Maisy even made an appearance. She’s clearly the light of their lives and just the cutest most well behaved little thing. On the evening of their session, the forecast said rain and we went for it anyways! Thank goodness we did! We had a perfect evening at Manassas Battlefield with portraits to prove it :] And now, we’re just in disbelief that we won’t get to see them until their wedding next JUNE!
Fun fact: I was Kendall’s boss when we lifeguarded together over a decade ago! Phew, I’m pretty sure I was a terrible boss, but I do remember laughing constantly in the pool office with Kendall! Even after 10 years, it’s still SO wonderful to see how happy she is now with Jamie! Jamie and Kendall, we’re thrilled for you two! Can’t wait for June at Shadow Creek!!!
