June 6th was supposed to be a big celebration in Maryland…but instead, it was an intimate affair in the Outer Banks. Instead of a country club, it was set at the beach house that Becca had been visiting since she was a little girl. The deck was adorned with twinkle lights and seaside decorations. The soundtrack was the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the beach. And instead of a limo or coordinating rides, the family simply walked to the sound for the ceremony on a dock, towing a little red wagon with a nephew inside :]
This moment was years in the making, and everyone there admitted that it wasn’t what they’d planned for, but it was perfect all the same. An intimate beach wedding in one of their favorite places with all their favorite people? That’s always going to be a yes. Ben and Becca exchanged vows while the sun dropped in the sky behind them. They slid on new wedding bands while the waves lapped up on to the dock stairs. They got to hug their family immediately after they were pronounced husband and wife. And their first moments as a married couple were spent with their toes in the sand. What a dream day!
Ben and Becca, I am SO thrilled for you guys! What a privilege to be a part of your special day! Congratulations!
Most of the family walked over to the sound for the ceremony.
I loved the sweet details that Becca’s mom set up!
I mean, could there be a prettier ceremony spot?!
Some sweet “just married” moments!
Becca’s dress was just perfect!
Don’t mind me, just wishing I could shoot in this Outer Banks neighborhood every weekend :]
Ahhh, Becca, so gorgeous!
To the beach house!
The whole fam up on the deck!
We had the best light and the most beautiful evening!
